The first member of month for 2018 is Kim Hall. This years recipient of the Dummy Spit award voted by the members. It's been great to see how far she has progressed in the last few years and she has built some serious fitness. With a strong case of white line fever she is one of the most friendly people you will ever meet - if she's not doing a workout.
When, how and why did you get started with us? - March 2015. A former work colleague suggested we give it a try. I’d never had a gym membership to this point or even heard of Crossfit and was reluctant at the idea of paying someone to tell me to exercise. We both agreed to give it 3 months and now 3 years later I’m hooked. She lasted about a month. Not that I’m competitive. What would be your dream workout? - EMOM beer a minute…. Joking – something like a merge of Grace, DT and/or Diane What workout would you want to avoid? - 16.5 or anything with Running, Airbike or Wall Balls. Favourite Crossfit Athlete? Not sure if many people would remember her but Hannah Sullivan = nothing phased her, in fact she loved challenges and she was hilarious to work out with. I remember one WOD which had lunges and she told me she didn’t like doing them so ever since that WOD she was doing lunges every day to get better and would do this dance “gotta do lunges, gotta do lunges”. She also said to me just before I was about to do 16.5 that the WOD was worse than child birth…. Whats the best thing you own that cost under $100? My hair dryer. New Years Eve, talking about relationship problems and one of Nikki’s dogs made this super loud dry retching/throw up noise mid-way through the conversation which overpowered everyone else’s voice while staring directly at all of us as if to give her opinion in the matter. So we changed the subject. Most used emoji? 🤣 If you could have one other CrossFit Claremont members body part, what would it be? To keep or just to touch….? Kat’s everything. And Matty B’s bum….
