When, how and why did you get started with us?
Late 2022. I had started a new job and my previous gym didn't have hours that suited it. I wanted to get back into more Olympic style lifting and decided to try Crossfit.
What would be your dream workout?
Anything with lunges, wall balls, squats, rowing.
I have a workout that literally came to me in a dream:
30 minute AMRAP, with a sandbag or medicine ball - 6 walking lunges to a box, 6 box step ups, 6 walking lunges back, 10 calories on the bike erg.
Bike erg must be done within 45-60 seconds, with burpees for every second under or over. Dropping the sandbag at any point other than transitioning to bike is 6 burpee penalty.
There's also a version with a 100kg 10m sled pull+push per round.
What workout would you want to avoid?
Anything overhead (+toes to bar)! Wall walks and handstands are my nightmare.

Chris Loftus - always so full of energy, chatty with everyone, and supportive.

The funniest thing that happened to you recently?
Being marooned in Marble Bar on a work trip after flooding closed all the roads out. We never even made it to site, and got helicoptered out after a week. Best paid holiday I've ever had.

If you could have another CrossFit Claremont members attribute, what would it be?
Cristina's core and shoulder strength. Handstand walks for days 🙌. 2025 is the year of the handstand.
