When, how and why did you get started with us? 2021, after the small HIIT gym I was at was going downhill. I finally decided to step up to Crossfit and loved the challenge of learning new skills and tracking my progress. I did my first Open that year.
What would be your dream workout? Something with Rowing, strict pull ups, Hang Power cleans.
What workout would you want to avoid? Running is tough for me, and no matter how fit I am weighted reverse lunges always have me shuffling around in pain the next day.
Favourite Crossfit Athlete? Caine Hayes. Apart from his most excellent name, I have to respect a local guy around my age who can put in the work to be in the top 5 worldwide.
What's the best thing you own that costs under $100? My memory foam pillow from Ecosa. If I was a billionaire I wouldn't upgrade it.
Biggest fashion mistake you’ve ever made? Long shorts really dont work when you're 6'3".
Favourite quote? "Be the head of the chicken, not the tail of the bull" It took me a while to realise the importance choosing independence and self-direction, even if it meant starting from a smaller scale.
What's your fav 90s jam?
Colin Hayes Overkill. I have to sing along when I hear it (alone).
What was the last thing you watched on TV? Currently rewatching The IT Crowd yet again.
The funniest thing that happened to you recently?
Not recent, But I accidentally let rip on Nikki's first day coaching and she couldnt keep a straight face!
