When, how and why did you get started with us?

I’ve been with CFC as a regular member again since the end of 2020 but I've been around for a long time. Basically, as soon as I’d finished some study that had taken over my life. Getting back into CrossFit and rejoining this community had been something I looked forward to enormously.


What would be your dream workout? E4MOM:

12 Deadlifts 9 Hang Power Cleans 6 Push Jerks Max Kettlebell Swings (24/16kg) in the remaining time. What workout would you want to avoid?

17.5 I’m still having therapy from that workout and so is my judge Jack. Favourite Crossfit Athlete?

Pat Vellner, because he always strives to do and be better.

What's the best thing you own that costs under $100?

My bodum coffee mug. There’s something about being able to see inside my coffee that makes it magic.

Biggest fashion mistake you’ve ever made?

I decided it would be a great idea to get a short pixie haircut and dye my hair orange in my first year of uni. Nuff said.

Favourite quote?

It’s a bit of a long one, but basically means unless someone else is doing the work, then you have permission not to take their feedback. Stood me in good stead the last few years!

Justified and Ancient by KLF. Which frankly seems like a very fitting way to describe me these days….


What was the last thing you watched on TV?

Derry Girls. Obsessed with it, reminds me of so much of childhood visits home to Ireland.

The funniest thing that happened to you recently? I decided to be super organised for Christmas this year and this included a MASSIVE Coles Online delivery for the Friday before the big day. Naturally, my bank account was hacked just before Christmas (not funny, thanks Optus and Medibank) and so on the Friday morning Coles texted me saying my order was cancelled because, you know, they couldn’t use my card. I stormed out to the shops and bought everything I needed for Christmas day. May have sworn on the inside a lot.

Home. Unpacked an ocean of shopping.

Five minutes later the Coles Online delivery guy arrived with my original food order.

There were three turkeys and two hams for Christmas this year. For about 10 people.
