When, how and why did you get started with us? October 2017, after returning home from seven years in bonnie Scotland I was needing to find a new fitness home and family. I’d never tried Crossfit before but I’d seen some crazy clips and it seemed like an impossible but fun challenge. I loved the CFC space at the showgrounds and windows instead of mirrors is so appealing. What would be your dream workout? 30min AMRAP 6 Cal on the bike Sled push and Pull Sit ups Rope climb On a Friday in Fun Kit followed by coffee with the 9.15 crew What workout would you want to avoid? 2km Row (ed note: really good rowers seem to dislike this workout the most!) Favourite Crossfit Athlete? Tobey ‘I’m just here to make up numbers’ Robinson - then pulls out a handstand pushup first attempt. Jen Hunter’s grit and determination. Bobbie Mignacca the ‘quiet’ achiever - unless you go near her bar.

Chantel Baker for holding my hand . Em D’Ambrosio for doing everything she does in the gym whilst doing everything she does outside of the gym. Carina Paola for lifting my spirits Actually I love the whole team! What's the best thing you own that cost under $100? Balega Hidden Comfort socks. Plush cushioning for ultimate comfort for old tired feet. Biggest fashion mistake you’ve ever made? I was 13 and went to the Hale School Ball in a white satin and lace dress. Favourite quote? Nothing quite like a really good poo! What's your fav 90s jam? The Go-Betweens: 16 Lovers Lane Released in late 80s but I was listening to them in a share house in the 90s Last thing you watched on TV? Game of Thrones Season 7. Yes, late to start. Funniest thing that happened to you recently? Recently I went to an island in South East Asia with a bunch of lovely ladies. Once there it was clear some groups had formed, the Floofers, (official name for those happy to do nothing but float by the pool usually with a beverage) the Athletes, the Card Sharks, (actually only one member belonged here) the Wendler Faithfuls and those in need of Healing. To be clear most ladies belonged to more than one group and easily flitted between them. One evening to recover from the sight of a dog and his bitch tied, the athletes went for a recovery session where they were bent and stretched in a series of specially formulated movements whilst tied up in silks that hung from rafters overlooking a Java Sea sunset. Upon returning to the rockstar accommodation the Athletes found the Floofers in total state of euphoria. Apparently when Floofing as a rockstar, one needs to mix G&T’s in a ratio 50:50. Needless to say the athletes stayed home the next evening. Most used emoji? Couldn’t split these two😳🙄But I love this one too 🤨 If you could have one other CrossFit Claremont members body part, what would it be? Liv Jones’s smile (Especially the smile after doing so well in the World Rowing Champs)
