Last few days to get your tickets to the Christmas Party

When, how and why did you get started with us? After leaving the Circus I needed a job, I had been doing CrossFit for a while and enjoyed working with people so I thought why not start a gym! What would be your dream workout? There aren't too many movements I don’t like, plenty I’m not good at but I enjoy most. Dream workout, I probably something like: For time: 5 Snatches 100/70kg, 10 Push Jerks 100/70kg, 15 Ring Muscle Ups, 20 Strict Handstand Push Ups, 40 Cal Bike, 60 Calorie Row. What workout would you want to avoid? Pistols and Thrusters keep me up at night. Favourite Crossfit Athlete? Tia-Clair Toomey you can’t not love her, from the guys side in the PreBok days I used to go for Josh Everett because of his lifting and I loved the original King Kong video. Matt Fraser is so laid back and his movement it as close to perfection as you can get. You’ve got to respect that. Whats the best thing you own that cost under $100? Probably this bottle blender thing Lauren got me years ago for Christmas. I use it so much for breakfast. It's fast, easy and tasty (just how I like my women).

Biggest fashion mistake you’ve ever made? These mistakes make you grow into who you are. At the time I was legit killing it but I had this Split (sweet Motocross brand) Red Visor I used to run in my early teen years. When I started personal training I also worse those Vibram Five Fingers (commonly known as toe shoes). After you had done a WOD in them, then had your shower and went to put them back on for work again there was a lot of juice inside. Basically all the sweat from your body would run down and then get trapped inside the shoe. Fitness was all about being ‘functional’ back in those days and if you were wearing “shoes” (loser, also about to get fired) your feet were being restricted by the encasement of modern practises you may as well give up on achieving wellness. Favourite quote? I like quotes, but my favourite is probably: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication” - Leonardo di Vinci. Everyone wants to show how smart they are by over complicating things, but if you make something really simple I think that’s the real magic.

What’s your fav 90s jam? Buses and Trains (Radio Edit) - Bachelor Girl. Even though I’m not a woman, I feel like if I was, this would be a great song to just affirm that it’s ok to make mistakes and everything is going to work out in the end.

Last thing you watched on TV? The Simpsons - Homers Enemy (Frank Grimes (RIP) episode). One of my favourite Simpsons episodes!

Funniest thing that happened to you recently? I had a bucks party last weekend, they are always good! But in terms of family friendly, I was at Brad Carey’s house the other day and Lily power spewed about 40cm in distance all over him and the couch. “Oh my god she’s never done this before!” he said sounding a little concerned. Then 10 seconds later she did it twice more and it seemed like she spewed about the same about of liquid as the mass of her whole body. She seemed pretty happy/proud after so no one really worried. I did feel a little bad because about 20 seconds before this I was flying her around and tipping her upside down and then I just handed her over to Brad. Barbara was also away on work so he stressed don’t tell her until she’s back because it’s not a big deal but she will get worried. (Hopefully Brad has told you about this Babs if not Lily seemed pretty cool with it all).

Most used emoji? I would say either the New Caledonian Flag or the CD Disc emoji. Not the silver disk though the more yellow option. If you could have one other CrossFit Claremont members body part, what would it be? Probably Lauren's eyes. She gets to look at some pretty nice stuff on the daily so I think that would be a bit of a treat.

3 Rounds for time: 10 Power Snatches 50/35kg 10 Strict Chest to Bar Pull Ups 300m Run Sweat: 20 Min AMRAP: In Pairs 40 Overhead Lunges 20/15kg 40 Calorie Bike 40 Sit Ups Post results to Beyond the Whiteboard.
